Intimate Manchester City Centre Wedding - Phillip & Chloe

City chic Hotel Gotham Wedding

If you're having an intimate wedding in the city of Manchester then this is the blog for you...

You know when you chat to someone for the first time and it just feels like you've known them FOREVER? Thats how it happened with Chloe. From the very first email I she sent me I think we both knew we were a match made in heaven. Sorry Phillip!

Everything about the couples plans excited me I from day one and I was looking forward to their wedding day from the minute Chloe told me I was the one!

I didn't have long to wait as Chloe is such a Bride-Chilla she booked everything last minute and just winged it!

Did not matter though and just goes to show weddings do not need to have years and years of meticulous planning for them to be a huge success! I think Phillip had a few small parts to play but we'll give Chloe the credit as I found out during speeches she is a VERY HARD WORKING LADY!

The day itself was so chilled and just a huge celebration of the life & family Chloe & Phillip have built together. Their sons and immediate family watched over as they said their I do's at Trafford Town Hall before everyone made their way to the stunning Hotel Gotham in Manchester City centre.

I said my goodbyes after cocktails & champers galore over the road at Roc & Rye leaving the party people to a night full of debauchery (Im guessing... Ive not heard any juicy gossip ;) )

Some more details about this Chic City Wedding in Chloe's words...

We wanted the wedding to be pretty 'unwedding-y' so didn't do much of the trad things, although I did sleep at my childhood home the night before which was lovely.

Phillip took the boys, Fox & Indy, to Hotel Gotham, where we were having the reception, around 12pm, and left me in peace to get ready.

My lovely makeup artist, Erika, came to paint my face and do my hair, so I spent a very chilled couple of hrs sat being titivated, and opening the door to beautiful bouquets of flowers that kept on arriving.

My Mum, Sister In Law and Best Friend were milling about helping me get ready, so that set the tone, and with a few glasses of Champagne I was set to go.

Hotel Gotham provided their beautiful Bentley to drive us to Trafford Town Hall having dropped Phillip off earlier.

Arriving at the Town Hall, my heart really was in my mouth, but after a short meeting with the registrars I was set to see Phillip & our family.

I wanted to see everyone first just to relax us all, which it did!

Then we went for it, up the aisle to the wrong music... Never mind, it was our 'just married' song, but it made us laugh and broke the ice.

After saying 'I do' we had a few glasses of Fizz and then made our way to Gotham, where all our friends were waiting.

It was amazing walking in and seeing everyone dressed up and ready to party!

My brother Luke and Phillip did their speeches before dinner, I can't think of anything worse than delaying them til after when nerves would be jangling. They were amazing, thoughtful and funny, perfect tone.

We had a beautiful 3 course meal, lots of laughter, and then headed over the road to Roc & Rye to dance the night away.

And that's exactly what we did. I don't think the very cool Roc & Rye has ever seen 30 odd wedding guests conga around the bar, but shamelessly that's what we did!

The Dress: I didn't want a wedding dress. I was adamant. Until I went to a bridal shop to rule it out.

And then there was no chance I was having anything but....

I actually ended up choosing a 2 piece deco style dress which really suited Hotel Gotham! The dress was by Kate Halfpenny, The Ivy Top & Daffodil Skirt.

The Venue: With it being Christmas the Hotel was packed to the brim with beautiful decorations so we had very little to do on that front, them having gone for an amazing Dickensian theme. Why wouldn't you choose Hotel Gotham....

We didn't want a traditional wedding venue, but rather somewhere that we would go ourselves for an evening.

Gotham is just that, it's unique and a little bit cheeky!

The Dress was bought from The White Closet, West Didsbury

MENSWEAR: Phillip's suit was from Marks and Spencer

SHOES: New Look & Adidas!

HAIR & BEAUTY: Erika Swinn

CAKE: Ryan @ Sweet Chorlton

 FLOWERS: Springbank Manchester

MUSIC: Our special songs are Higher Love - James Vincent McMorrow & Songbird - Fleetwood Mac
