Alma Inn Wedding : Alex & Victoria
Tucked away in the Lancashire countryside lies the Alma Inn. This historic stone pub is surrounded by moorland and is the perfect spot for a cosy wedding ceremony and reception, whatever the time of year. Spring and summer weddings make the most of the beautiful views and guests can enjoy their (very tasty!) canapes and fizz on the terrace. When the weather turns colder and everyone retires into the Inn the atmosphere is so welcoming. Guests are greeted by roaring fires and the oak beams and old stone floors lend the Alma Inn a really unique charm.
As a wedding photographer I quickly fell in love with the venue, there are so many hidden nooks and crannies which always make for great photos and the ceremony room is a dream. So bright and welcoming with huge windows lining one wall. Whenever I’m booked to shoot here I know I’m going to have the best day!
Country pub wedding
There are so many benefits to having a pub wedding. Good ales and wine are guaranteed and the food is always incredible. Us wedding photographers tend to remember venues based on how good the food is and the Alma Inn is right up there with the best! There’s always a really relaxed atmosphere with a pub wedding, and that was a big reason why Alex and Victoria chose the Alma Inn for their wedding last summer.
Wedding photography at the Alma Inn
These guys were really keen on having a welcoming, intimate wedding with a big emphasis on informality! They’re super laid back and didn’t want to spend the day being herded from one place to another. I don’t blame them! They loved the fact that they could really put their own stamp on the Alma Inn’s function room too. On the lead up to their date they’d both been working hard crafting their decorations. I love the wooden signs they dotted around the Inn!
Another big bonus to the Alma Inn is that it’s dog friendly! There’s no way Alex and Victoria could’ve got married without these two, they’re part of the family. I adore the photos of the pups walking down the aisle proudly wearing their flower collars. More weddings should have dogs in the bridal party! New trend for 2019? I hope so!
Are you planning your own wedding at the Alma Inn? I’d love to hear from you if so, I never get bored of chatting weddings!
