Ursula & Barry's Beeston Manor Wedding
"From the minute we read Sarah’s web page, we just knew she was the photographer for us. Her whit and observations on life really struck a cord with us and we both thought…. we like this lady, she’s on our wavelength!
Throughout all our planning, Sarah was always happy to provide advice and recommendations and when she visited our home to talk about the finer details (despite her car breaking down and having to call out the RAC) her calm and pleasant demeanour put us both at our ease immediately and we just knew everything would go amazingly on the day.
Indeed, our wedding pictures are fantastic and Sarah really captured the relaxed atmosphere and overwhelming love we felt from everyone on the day."
When Ursula enquired with me on the phone one night we hit it off instantly! Ursula told me that my website had stood out to her because it was full of real moments and not pictures of shoes... It was funny though when I popped to see the couple at home one day that the first thing Ursula did was excitedly show the shoes she had bought for the big day!
That day will be one I will remember for a long time... My car broke down in the middle of a working farm after I took a wrong turn and I had to be rescued by Ursula and Barry and then afterwards by my husband and the AA! I shut the farm down shortly as I was blocking the only way in and out! Ooops!
Weddings at Beeston Manor
I arrived at Beeston Manor to an excited bride and groom... I absolutely loved the fact that they had put two fingers up to tradition and stayed together the night before so that they could both fully enjoy all of the wedding festivities.
Beeston was buzzing with excitement as all of the couples families and friends started to arrive. Ursula and Barry got ready separately but before Ursula crept away to get dressed she saw Barry come down the stairs fully suited and booted and the smiles on both of their faces were absolutely infectious.
Ursula was dressed by her three sisters and Mum in the gorgeous bridal suite at Beeston whilst Barry enjoyed a drink in the bar as the final wedding guests arrived.
Emotions were high and there were lots of tears during the day... Mainly from Barry but the tears were massively outweighed by all of the laughter. Guests enjoyed drinks and canapés in the sun before being treated to three courses and some between course entertainment.
Later that evening we wandered around the venue capturing some fun and laid back portraits before being entertained by the amazing singer than is Steve Bayliss.
Ursula & Barry really did put on a fab day for their guests and it was a pleasure to be a part of it.
