So I'm sat here wondering what the hell I can post on social media about International Womens Day. Every year it creeps up on me and I tend to just do a google search, download a photo (don't shout at me about copyright and crediting... I know I know....) and throw something online as a nod to the day. Last year I vowed this year would be different... I have had a reminder pop up in my calendar every day for the past week reminding me thats its happening because last years me vowed to be better...

Just before Christmas I got to photograph Isla at home along with her besotted Mummy & Daddy. Baby Isla was an absolute superstar and had them both in stitches with her windy ways!

Brad & Vicki married at the stunning Hoghton Tower on the most gorgeous February day. When they asked me to be their wedding photographer I was elated. I visit Hoghton Tower frequently with family but it was the first time I'd be able to go there in a work capacity as a wedding photographer.
There are many traditions when it comes to weddings but many of these traditions are seen as old
fashioned. Lets take the throwing of the bouquet as an example. Flower trends have changed
over the years and many bouquets now are beautiful works of art and so big and sometimes
heavy that you are likely to knock someone out even if you do manage to throw the bouquet! This
is definitely a tradition that isn’t really seen anymore.
Lydia & Dan had the most stunning winter wedding at the relaxed pub and wedding venue the Inn at Whitewell. In the heart of the Ribble Valley lies the Inn at Whitewell, a country pub that dates back to 1300. It’s one of Lancashire’s most popular wedding venues and it’s easy to see why.
