I'm a big believer in printing photos! Technology advances so quickly these days and if we're storing all of our images digitally then there is a very big chance that those digital files will become corrupt or inaccessible for some reason or another.
I have around 300 CD's full of photos from when I first started out piled up in a corner and no way to access them because the fancy MacBook Pro I invested in doesn't have a CD function. I know those CD's are FULL of memories and thats why I wont just throw them in the bin but whats the point in them being there if I cant see them?
I know when you see your photo gallery you're going to want everything but my advice is to pick one or two favourites and get them printed. You don't have to invest a months wages but investing as much money as it costs for a couple of coffee's will ensure you'll always have a memory thats real and easily accessible.
When my eldest son was born way back in 2002 I invested in a 'watch me grow' package with a local photography studio and with each session I was offered ALL of the photo's and me being me I NEEDED them because why would't you want everything printed? The reality is all of those photos sit in an envelope in my loft that I look at every now and again during a sort out and theres only ONE photo that I have on display. Yes its LOVELY being able to look at how cute he used to be and I am so so glad I printed everything... (we didn't have a digital option back then) but I am also glad I invested in that one display image as a constant reminder.
These days you can just pop along to a high street printers and get the rest printed for longevity.
Another great way to keep your images safe is to have a photo book where you can store all of your favourites if you're struggling to just pick one!
